Meet the Chefs

Chef Rob

Shmack'n Plates was founded in 2019 by Chef Rob. Rob's passion for cooking began at a very young age as a hobby only cooking for family & friends. Although Rob did not attend culinary school, he didn't let that deter him away from his dream. With continued support and encouragement from his wife and family, his hobby evolved into much more!

He originally wanted to open a food truck after college; but decided to take a leap of faith and allow the public to get shmack'd through a meal prep & catering business first. The Shmack'n Plates brand started to gain local recognition throughout the area that presented a new opportunity to open the food truck sooner than later.

Fast forward to August 2020 and Shmack'n Plates Bistro food truck was born. We believe in creating dishes that will take your taste buds on a culinary trip around the world! We consider our food truck a craft modern American style cuisine. Our rotating menu keeps our customer's interested and yearning for the next Shmack'n Plates experience.

Chef Corey

What’s going on ,welcome to Shmack'n the names Corey aka Chef “Double C” born and raised in Durham, NC. Cooking has always been a passion that he was willing to take risk in. Chef Double C started at the bottom of the food chain as a dishwasher and worked his way up to Chef de Cuisine. In addition to working at Shmack'n Plates, he also manages the high end kitchen at The Capital Grill Steak House. Chef Corey is a hard worker, and has been with Shmack'n Plates since the beginning and he will help take it to new heights!!
